John "Dandy" Rodriguez, Jr., son of respected Latin musician John Rodriguez, began performing as a teenager with Tito Puente. He later played with Tito Rodriguez in the 1960Õs and Ray Barretto and Tipica '73 in the 1970's, after which he rejoined Tito PuenteÕs Orquesta on Bongo and Cowbell for a 37-year stint. He inspired a generation of musicians and his influence is still felt and heard today through his active career. Made to the specifications of the influential percussion legend, John "Dandy" Rodriguez. These beech wood bongos feature Cuban-style steel bottoms and signature striped finish.
